Americas Family Pet Expo Announces Fido FridayIt will be a dog day afternoon and morning as for the first time ever, the Americas Family Pet Expo opens its doors to mans best friend. For one day only, on Friday, April 20th from 10am to 6pm, dogs will be allowed inside designated locations of the expo area. Were thrilled that the Americas Family Pet Expo can welcome in our four-legged friends, said Doug Poindexter, President of the World Pet Association, producers of the Americas Family Pet Expo, April 20-22 at the OC Fair and Event Center. By hosting these special members of the family, Fido Friday adds a whole new dimension to the guests show experience. Now, everyone can enjoy themselves with their dog. For years, show producers have been receiving hundreds of phone calls and requests from guests wanting to bring their dogs. The concept of bringing ones dog was always a dream, said Poindexter. Through working with the proper authorities and experts to ensure a safe show experience for all our guests, this milestone opportunity has come to fruition and we couldnt be more pleased! Specific guidelines apply; including all dogs must be on a non-retractable leash, over 4-months of age, spayed or neutered, and non-aggressive in nature. All owners must abide by the potty area locations and bring their own bags to collect waste. There is a maximum of one-dog per adult, and its owner must be older than 18-years of age. Upon entering the Expo grounds, owners must sign a liability waiver issued from the Americas Family Pet Expo. Additional policies and tips are available for review at .
